We are seeking a part-time, talented and passionate Baker to join our team on Saturday and Sundays.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking artisanal goodies, with a keen understanding of the pace of a commercial kitchen. You have the ability to understand how fluctuating room temperatures and temperamental ovens affect the day's bake. You value constant improvement, and take pride in your work. You have made (or want to make!) baking your career. You will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods and your dedication will contribute to maintaining our high standards of quality.
Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of products including (but not limited to) soft pretzels, buttermilk biscuits, butter tarts and shortbread cookies.
Help package orders for wholesale, if required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to adhere to food safety standards, both during and after your shift.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
Stay updated on baking trends and techniques to continuously improve skills.
Requirements
Proven experience in baking on a commercial and/or artisan level.
Strong understanding of food safety practices within a kitchen environment.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for culinary arts and creativity in crafting unique baked goods.
Ability to work flexible hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 3am to complete (typically 9-10am)

This role is paid hourly, each week, at $20.90/hour.
